How We Became The Most Sought After Cleaning Company In Boulder

All Phase Cleaning Services was founded in 1990 by Ed Dillon.  Ed was in the computer programming business before entering the cleaning industry. Immersing himself in education about the industry by reading cleaning magazines, manuals, taking certification classes, and networking with other professionals across the country, he learned everything he could about the cleaning industry. After several months of studying the standards and employment practices of the existing cleaning companies, he realized that the majority of the companies had very low expectations of what could be accomplished in the cleaning process.  He found that most of the companies paid very low wages and just hired people to fill a position rather than hiring cleaning professionals who loved what they did for a living.  He also found that the majority of cleaning companies bid their work for the lowest possible amount as they did not believe that the clients cared about anything other than a low price.  After interviewing numerous clients on what they actually wanted out of a cleaning service,   Ed found that clients  wanted a company that had high cleaning and ethical standards, always showed up, stood behind their work, hired only the best employees,  was properly insured, was security conscious, and was an addition to their team who worried about the cleaning so the clients could worry about their own business. Through this process Ed came up with the standards and procedures that All Phase Cleaning Services follows today.  He came up with a system where high quality, well above average employee pay, constant training, and the use of the newest cleaning techniques and technology come together to give the client one of the best cleaning systems in Boulder County.  

In 1995 All Phase, Inc. started offering carpet and upholstery cleaning services to their clients.  The name of this division is All Phase Carpet and Upholstery.  Once again Ed studied the industry, took many certification courses through the IICRC until he achieved Master Cleaner and Restorer status, and instituted the highest quality services and procedures available in commercial and residential carpet and upholstery cleaning.  All Phase Carpet and Upholstery is the division of All Phase, Inc. that specializes in all aspects of cleaning carpet, upholstery, and high pressure cleaning and sealing of tile and grout.

In 1996, Cathy Dillon left her 15 year career in the Stock brokerage business to help her husband of 23 years build the cleaning business.  Utilizing her expertise after many years of working in a large company office environment, she quickly helped develop procedures and systems so the clients would have a professional service experience whenever they needed to interact with All Phase, Inc.   She grew up working in a family owned restaurant (The Flagstaff House Restaurant), and utilizing her knowledge of fine dining practices was able to add even more high quality service aspects to the customer experience. An example of one high quality policy she implemented was to make sure that every phone call would be answered by a live person, rather than an electronic voice mail or answering machine if at all possible, as many clients expressed the sentiment that they absolutely detested calling a company and having to talk to a machine.  Other policies were: establishing a personal relationship with each client, being available for any questions by email, fax, or phone, fixing any problems immediately, sending the invoices to each client early enough to ensure that the clients' accounting departments had enough time to process the invoice each month, and constantly searching for new ways of making the customer experience more enjoyable.

In 2002, Rob Richardson was hired to take over running the Carpet Cleaning Division. He is a very detailed person and has been sent to many classes to learn all aspects of carpet, tile, and upholstery cleaning.  He trained with Ed in the field for the first year to learn the All Phase, Inc. systems and procedures.  He has attained the Journeyman Status from the IICRC, and is well on his way to achieving Master Status.  He is the Lead Tech, and is still taking classes as they become available as there is always more to learn. 

In the fall of  2005, All Phase, Inc. set up its' first interactive website called spotcleaningexpress.com  to enable even better customer interaction.  Due to overwhelming demand a new company division was formed named Spot Cleaning Express.  Many clients over the years have asked us for a quick easy spotting service for those annoying spills that always seem to occur at the worst times, and it is now available.  The goal of Spot Cleaning Express is to show up within two to four hours of the call to take care of spotting emergencies the day they happen to minimize the chances of permanent staining of the carpet or textile.
